Clara Henriksen

Co-founder & Head of Formulation

Clara spent eleven years in pharmaceutical formulation before founding Arise, consulting for supplement and pharmaceutical brands across the UK, Germany, and Scandinavia. She holds a Masters in Pharmacology from the University of Edinburgh and is the reason every Arise formula lists the specific form of each ingredient — not just the ingredient name.

She is also the reason our capsules are smaller than industry standard. People actually have to swallow these. It has been non-negotiable since day one.

Mara completed her PhD in Nutritional Biochemistry at Cornell University and her postdoctoral research at UCL, where she studied adaptogen mechanisms - the system that governs how the body responds to chronic stress. She has spent twelve years watching evidence-backed ingredients get islabelled inside formulas.

She is the reason Arise publishes full sourcing information for every ingredient. She is also the reason Cycle Support exists.
